Co-operative education is an opportunity for you to extend your learning beyond the classroom.

Co-op provides you with the ability to:

  • Explore where your degree might take you after graduation

  • Learn about yourself, and cultivate an awareness of yourself as a professional

  • Develop technical and work related skills

  • Apply your education to the workplace, and apply your working knowledge to gain a greater understanding in your classes

  • Network with professionals in your field

How Co-op works:

  • You will have 3-5 paid work terms that alternate with academic semesters.

  • You will have the opportunity to work in the Fall, Winter and Summer.

  • You will experience a true job search process where you submit applications and compete for jobs.

  • You will work full time hours while on a work term, and study full time while in school.

  • You will set learning goals and submit a work report for each of your work terms.

  • Your employer will evaluate your performance.

  • Your work terms will be recorded on your official transcript, including work term performance and work report grades.

  • You will receive a Co-operative Education certificate upon graduation.
