At the University of Guelph

The Centre for Business and Social Enterprise (CBaSE)

Located on campus at Macdonald Hall (3rd Floor), CBaSE strives to provide students with opportunities to gain practical experience by fostering collaboration between University of Guelph students, faculty, and the broader community.  They offer many services including:

  • Course Credit: Offered through CBaSE, the Business Consulting course is open to all students with at least 10 credits and a minimum GPA of 70. It's designed to get you out of the classroom and working with real organizations. A course is offered in the Fall (MGMT*4050) and Winter (MGMT*4060).
  • The Hub Incubator Program: Located in the University of Guelph Business Innovation Zone, the Hub offers UofG students and alumni funding, dedicated office space and access to experienced entrepreneurs.
  • Entrepreneurship Support: Entrepreneurs-In-Residence (EIRs) can enhance your time at university through mentoring. The EIRs can help move your idea forward, provide expertise and assist in preparing a stronger application for the Hub Incubator program.
