Claudia Mellad Named Manager, Co-operative Education

The Experiential Learning Hub is pleased to announce that Claudia Mellad will be joining the team as the new Manager, Co-operative Education.

Mellad comes with  eight years of working and teaching experience with George Brown College, Seneca College, Conestoga College, and McMaster University.  She holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto and a Master of Arts in Education from Central Michigan University.   

Mellad has expert knowledge and understanding of urban youth, international students and individuals with mental health issues and various abilities.  She is a people-oriented team player with a positive and enthusiastic approach to problems with a high degree of professional competency and integrity.  

Mellad will oversee the Co-op Coordinators, including employer relations and co-op process and policy, with a continuous improvement approach.   She will officially join the EL Hub team on Monday, October 19th.  

Colleen Myronyk (former Manager, Co-operative Education) has been promoted to Associate Director, Co-operative Education and Work-Integrated Learning. Myronyk will work with Associate Deans Academic to develop new co-op programs, oversee co-op enrolment targets, develop new policy as required, investigate new work-integrated learning options, continue to Chair CPCC meetings, academic quality collaborations, and be the Co-operative Education contact for ADAs.
