Suspicious Emails

Posted on Monday, June 18th, 2018

It has come to our attention that some individuals in our community have been approached through email about a part-time position where the individual stated they "found" the person through our office.

Be assured that we have never, and will never provide any personal information to anyone without expressed consent as we take the privacy of our stakeholders very seriously. This individual is merely using our department name in an attempt to gain credibility and we can confirm that the recruitment system has not been breached.

University students and new graduates are often a prime target for employment scams. Fraudsters take advantage of those who are desperate for employment or are not experienced with the norms of the employment process. Make yourself familiar with some of these schemes and be sure to follow the tips to secure your finances and personal information.  If you have a feeling like something just isn't right or if questions you have aren't answered to your liking then be wary.  For more information, read our Beware Employment Scams page.

If you have any questions or concerns about this, please do not hesitate to contact our office.
