U of G Co-op Student Named CAFCE Top Co-op Student in Ontario & Canada

Co-operative Education and Career Services is extremely proud to announce that Brianna Guild, a University of Guelph graduate, has been selected as the top co-op student in Canada!

The Canadian Association for Co-operative Education (CAFCE) announced Briana Guild as one of two recipients for the Student of the Year award on March 8th. Guild is also the recipient of the Colin Cureatz Memorial Award and the Co-op Student of the Year Award at the University of Guelph.

Guild’s co-op coordinator, Andrew Kramer, and her most recent co-op employer, Dr. Jim Uniacke, nominated her for the CAFCE Co-op Student of the Year award.

Guild’s most recent work term focused on developing a procedure to culture human cells in physiological oxygen using a hypoxia workstation. Now, Guild is working as a full-time Research Assistant with Dr. Jim Uniacke.

It has also been announced that Brianna has also won the EWO (Education at work Ontario) Co-op Student of the Year Award. This recognizes Ontario Co-op students who have showcased exceptional job accomplishment, extra-curricular involvement, academic achievement and a strong contribution to Co-operative Education.
