Hiring Current Students
Canadian Polar Commission: Undergraduate students who are in their final year of study and intend to undertake an honour’s thesis based on northern scientific fieldwork or research are eligible to receive funding to offset the costs of living and transportation in Northern Canada. Deadline: December 1st each year.
Canada Summer Jobs: Provides funding to not-for-profit organizations, public-sector employers and small businesses to create summer job opportunities for students who are returning to school in the fall. Not-for-profit employers can receive up to 100% of the minimum hourly wage, and public and private-sector employers up to 50%. Deadline: Mid January each year.
Young Canada Works: Contributes 50-75% of students’ summer job wages and employment costs for positions that are either bilingual or focus on fostering Canadian culture and heritage. Deadline: Beginning of February each year.
